The 13' Felix was designed to be the smallest launch you could fit a steam plant into and still have room for 3 crew. Some Felix launches have been fitted with electric power and others with a conventional diesel inboard. The design was also stretched to 15' and this can be done with the model plans simply by increasing the distance between the mould stations.
The hull has a typically English plumb stem and a delightful wineglass transom. The model drawings are drawn up to a 107.5 scale which produces a hull 21" (533mm) long. At this size, the engine etc needs to be light in weight but it would be very easy to increase the scale to1:6 or 1:5 for instance, by scanning and enlarging the moulds which would accommodate a heavier propulsion unit and r/c gear.
Details of the full-size 13' and 15' Felix launch can be found at Selway Fisher Design main web site

The model plans consist of two A1 sheets - the first gives the full model sized moulds, inner stem and counter stern shapes for a 1:7.5 scale model giving a model length of 0.53m (21").
The second sheet gives side profile, plan and several sections through the launch plus approximate position of the steam power unit, propeller etc and material sizes for the model.
The hull would be built using the plank over frame method.
